June 16, 2016
The Middle Fork of the Flathead River flows through the Great Bear Wilderness of Montana. This is a hidden gem of whitewater just outside to border of Glacier National Park. We have partnered up with Snowy Springs Outfitters to offer a unique Montana experience, the Middle Fork Flathead Ride and Raft day trip!
On a visit to Montana or Glacier National Park, what better way to experience Montana than starting your day off with a trail ride? Meet the wranglers in the morning to be sized and introduced to your transportation to the put in. Once everyone is set to go, head off on the trail into the Great Bear Wilderness with rafts loaded on the pack string, following close behind. Snowy Springs Outfitters provides the horses and pack portion of this trip.
The Middle Fork Flathead River is a very popular destination for day whitewater rafting trips. Bordering both Glacier National Park and the Great Bear Wilderness, the scenery is awesome and the emerald watercolor is stunning. This trip is so unique and special because you can avoid the crowds on the normal day section when we pack upstream into the wilderness and start our float above all the other day trips. There are only two outfitters who operate under a special use permit and are allowed to run the wilderness section of the Middle Fork Flathead. This combined with the Spruce Park Gorge being the best whitewater on the Middle Fork, truly makes this a unique opportunity.
Experience Montana in a one day adventure! If you are interested in horseback riding and whitewater rafting, you will not find a better day adventure near Glacier National Park. .
